We've just arrived in Rome. What an astonishing city. The mix of old and new could never be more apparent and it's just so cool to back here. I have only fond memories of my previous concerts here and the extremely partisan crowds. They love their own music and appreciate everyone else's. It's been wonderful reacquainting myself with the concert halls in Milan and Turin. I liken those cities to old friends. You pick up where you left off and appreciate all the aspects that remain the same as well as being pleasantly surprised by new developments. For example, heading back to one of the group's favourite restaurants, La Lampara, was great fun. Even nicer given they recognised us and looked after us so well, offering us a pre-dinner/concert prosecco which had to be turned down on this occasion!It's been wonderful presenting works from Il Trionfo di Dori. Since our album launch in Venice at La Fenice, people have come up to me after each show and specifically mentioned how much they've enjoyed the Italian madrigals.Looking forward to catching up with some great Italian friends of mine over the next two evenings.Ci vediamo a presto!
