I am speeding my way through the countryside on a Chiltern Line train somewhere between London and Birmingham. I would usually get off in Leamington but I am going for supper in Birmingham; I am getting increasingly hungry as I think of the multitude of places to eat!
Today has been an action-packed (and very wet!) day in London. Stop number 1 was the Chinese Visa Centre, which needs no further explanation. Stop number 2 was rehearsal, where we covered some lovely Chinese and Japanese folk songs in readiness for our trip to Asia later in the summer and stop number 3 was a workshop with students from the Bolingbroke Academy in London. We worked with them on ‘And so it goes to us’; it was a lovely occasion and, as ever with workshops, we all learned something! I’d like to thank the students for taking the time to prepare so well for the workshop which included learning the music off by heart.
Next stop is Yorkshire, for a concert that is part of the Northern Aldborough Festival. I hope to see some of you there!
