As I write from my room here in Rexburg, Idaho, I am reminiscing about the wonderful week I had before coming away on tour. Last Saturday in Oxford was an incredibly mild and clear day. Liz and I spent most of it outside, walking to Wolvercote and back across the Port Meadow, enjoying the beautiful weather and surrounding countryside. Below are a couple of photos of the sunset from that day.So, here we are in the States having a wonderful time, meeting lots of new faces and catching up with old friends. The two concerts so far have been great - standing ovations at both - and Julian has worked hard to learn the new repertoire. I remember my first Christmas in the KS. It's almost like starting the job again given that all the music is new for the festive season.Looking forward to the performance on Saturday night in front of 13,000 people! It's not difficult to get excited about events like this. They don't happen regularly so it's always a special occasion.Hope you're all staying warm and dry and avoiding the snow...we have so far...touch wood!Bye for now.
