Preparing for South Africa

Hello everybody! Yesterday, we returned from Edinburgh, where we had Bruiser's stag party over the weekend. This was a lot of fun, and we're back in pretty much one piece (although I've returned with a fairly severe limp after a sporting injury sustained on Saturday afternoon..). Bruiser had a lot of fun, and it was a real treat to let our hair down a little bit after a few days of recording, and before we head off to South Africa.Today it is a lovely bright (but cold) day in London, and we're all preparing to go out to South Africa tomorrow. The King's Singers haven't been there for 20 years; the last time was back in 1997, when none of us was in the group. Nigel Short was a KS then, however - so while he's been producing our recording he's been able to tell us some stories from the last trip out there. I think we are all looking forward to getting some much-needed sun on our pale skin, and of course to meeting a whole bunch of new friends and fans from a 'new' territory! While we're there, we'll be performing two programmes, and they're both absolute belters! We did one of these in our Durham concert recently, and it went down a treat. The other is full of KS favourites from all over the world - with some quirky and unexpected gems which we've all really enjoyed learning. If you keep up with our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter), you'll probably get to hear a few of these pieces over the course of our tour, as we're planning to share clips now and again when we get the chance. For now, I'll leave you with a little video from a concert last year, where we performed one of our favourite songs, 'Alice in Wonderland':[embed]https://youtu.be/vErdnfFiBSg[/embed]
