So this is it: my last blog as a King's Singer, and for once I'm lost for words.....
It's been a great 17 years with many highs and some amazing adventures. I've been blessed with kind-hearted colleagues from whom I've learned much, and audiences all over the world who have been generous with their friendship.
Most of all though, I want to take this opportunity, publicly to thank my wonderful wife, Helena and my boys, Will and Ed, for their love. Without them I'd never have lasted this long, and I look forward to new adventures and challenges with PurpleVocals, knowing that I still have their unstinting support and that we face the future united and happy.
I leave my beloved KS an older and wiser man, knowing that I always tried my best and in the hope that I have made a difference to the lives of others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the years of happiness, and may I wish Julian every success as tenor in the world's finest vocal ensemble.
Goodbye my friends,Paul.
