Oxford, UK

It's that time of the year again...jetlag time! This morning was the first morning that I've woken up after 6am which represents a small success in my sleeping habits. However, given that it's now 2pm and I'm tired again, I'm not sure I've quite cracked the trans-Atlantic blues just yet. (First world problems, I hear you mutter.)Really looking forward to my first show in the Concertgebouw. What an iconic venue. The guys who've been there before have always spoken excitedly about previous shows there and the slight terror each time they do their best impressions of walking down those steps whilst smiling serenely at the audience trying NOT to fall down them!I also like the idea of an 11am show. Not from the perspective of singing before lunch - I'm rather a big fan of evening shows when the voice is warmed up - but more from the perspective that I can be home in Oxford for dinner with Liz. (We're having chicken pie. Hairy Biker's recipe. It's already planned. Wouldn't you be excited, too?)Before I sign off I thought I'd reminisce about our tour of the States. Overall, it was a really successful trip and, flight/luggage issues aside, the quality of the shows was extremely high and I thought Jules did really well on his first memory tour with the exception of a few non-GAS programmes thrown in for good measure. I remember the time we spent choreographing and tweaking the show for those first memory tours two years ago. It's certainly a well-oiled product now which makes it easier to assimilate a new member. Another highlight from a non-singing perspective was finally getting to play a game of squash with Jules on the second-to-last day of the tour. We'd been trying to play all tour so it was great fun to sneak a few games in. He's now 6-4 up so I'm going to have to stop taking it easy and step up a few gears!Bye voor nu / Bis bald / Bye for now.p.s. You can follow me on twitter if you like @CBruerton. I'm still a tweeting novice but I'm working on it!
