Off to Germany and France we go!!

So today we leave for the wonderful city of Hannover, where we perform with the fabulous NDR Radiophilharmonie. I'm really excited to be performing out Great American Songbook repertoire again with orchestra. We have had our a cappella arrangements re-worked for these orchestral projects and it really does add another element to the performance when you've got a full orchestra behind you!On Saturday we travel to France, to the beautiful Thônes, where we sing a sacred concert (in the first half) in the wonderful Église Saint-Maurice. This week really does sum up how varied our repertoire and touring life is in The King's Singers - one day we're singing Cole Porter's Let's Misbehave with orchestra and the next we are singing Thomas Tallis' Lamentations of Jeremiah. Variety is the spice of life, for sure!On another note, can I please take a moment to say thank you to everyone who sent kind words of congratulations following mine and Gemma's wedding and wedding blessing. It was lovely to read all of your messages, so thank you for taking the time to do that for us. Hopefully see lots of you at a King's Singers concert soon to thank you in person!
