Having landing back in the UK and looking forward to meeting our friends a little to closer home over the next 10 days in Chelmsford, St David’s, Sheffield, Swaledale and Peterborough, looking back over the last 10 days reminds us of the incredible student choirs and teachers across the world, ensuring the tradition of choral singing remains strong in every culture.The Gaude Mater Festival, Poland provided a calm and sacred start to the tour, followed by two wonderful workshops with the most-welcoming and enthusiastic students & teachers at the American School of Doha, Qatar. From here we travelled for the first time to the Philippines capital city, Manila. Working with the Philippine Madrigal Singers and performing in the Cultural Centre of the Philippines was an unforgettable experience.Flying on to China, we spent a couple of days in Wenzhou (another first for the KS) before heading to Shanghai to re-visit Dulwich College, Shanghai.
