Good morning, all! Is everybody well? I do hope so.So today brings with it a trip to the ENT consultant for little Harry. He keeps getting ear infections so we needed to get it checked out. He's come away with a host of drops and antibiotics and if they don't work then we'll have to go down the route of grommets. Hopefully he won't need them but thankfully it's a very short procedure if he does.On Thursday this week we have a concert at one of my favourite UK venues - Reading Town Hall. I'm so chuffed that we've got a concert here during our anniversary season. The audience are always really pumped for the show and I've got such happy memories of performances there in the past. Last time we sang our Great American Songbook repertoire, which was awesome fun! On Thursday we'll be singing one of our GOLD programmes - a real whistle-stop tour through the ages. I'm thoroughly enjoying all of the commissions we've had written for us this year, but the funniest one, which is always guaranteed to make the audience laugh, is Quintessentially written by Joanna and Alexander L'Estrange. It's like a Masterpiece 2.0 and aims to find The King's Singers unique selling point (USP)! It traces musical snippets from some of The KS's most famous arrangements and commissions over our 50 year history and if you haven't heard it, it's definitely worth popping along to a concert to give it a listen!Right, I must dash and hang up some of Harry's washing, before popping in another load of his stuff. How is it possible for one little human to create so much mess!!! :)Take care all and see you soon, I hope.Toodle-oo for now....
