I always find it funny when it's just gone 10am and you've already been up for seven hours. That's been our fate this morning. It's a rare thing when there's a weekend at home during a tour (in this case, of France and Italy), so we decided to get the earliest possible flight home this morning to maximise on time here. It's now 10:30, and I'm sitting in my favourite coffee shop in Soho in Central London, drinking a (very) large coffee and preparing for a fun weekend. Not to mention more exciting plans for our 50th anniversary, that continue to be underfoot. At the same time, I'm in the process of trying to plan an adventure. We're very lucky in that we get to take six weeks off every Summer, to relax and get ready for the new season. For the last few years, I've focussed my holidays on New York. But this year - partly because I turn 30 on Monday - I want to spread my wings and go somewhere I've never been before. I cannot wait for my first trip to South Africa in just over two weeks time (also because I can't *wait* for some Winter sun). But if anyone has any bright ideas about exciting travel I could plan that I might not have considered, then please send it my way!Now I have some avocado on toast arriving. There's no better Saturday breakfast food. It's very cool that I get to spend my actual birthday doing a concert in Florence on Monday, with one in Venice the next day. Birthday pizza instead of birthday cake, anyone?
