We had a great day of rehearsing pieces for our next GOLD 50th recording days coming up at the start of February. Nigel Short (former 2nd Countertenor in the KS and producer of the album) came and listened to us. It was so useful to hear his feedback, and bounce some ideas off each other; after all, it's normally just the six of us listening to ourselves internally within group rehearsals that forms the main analysis feedback of group sound. It was truly lovely to hear some old KS stories from Nigel dating back to when he was in the group, and we finished our rehearsal day off with a good group chat about the repertoire for our upcoming South Africa tour -- a real source of anticipation, excitement and expectation! In the meantime, packing now for our trip to France tomorrow morning, first thing!
