Lockdown Blog 55: Foundation in lockdown

Hello again everyone,I write from a very sweltering Leamington Spa, England; I think we nearly reached 30 degree celsius today (that's 86 Fahrenheit)! The last few weeks have been some of the most satisfying since lockdown began as, behind the scenes, our charity has been busy!Under the umbrella of The King's Singers Global Foundation, we have been working with two of our Finding Harmony Ambassadors, Soundabout and Together Productions. Soundabout is a charity that uses music to empower and unlock the potential of people with severe and profound learning disabilities, and Together Productions bring people who otherwise would not meet together to create ground-breaking artistic work.We met many members of Soundabout's Inclusive Choir at their zoom rehearsal a few weeks ago; it was one of the highlights of my time in The King's Singers so far. And yesterday, we joined two choirs from Together Productions, The Mixed Up Chorus and The Sing for Freedom Choir, for a wonderful (and packed!) hour- (and a half-!) long workshop. With each of these Finding Harmony Ambassadors we have a very exciting lockdown musical collaboration in the pipeline; watch this space! We are so happy that The King's Singers Global Foundation has enabled us to adapt the Finding Harmony Ambassador project so that it can continue to thrive during lockdown :-)If you'd like to support the work of our Foundation, you can donate online. We are very grateful for any support you can give; every gift matters, no matter the size. And thank you once again to our many existing donors.Until the next time, and keep safe,EddieInstagram: @edwardbutton1
