Heathrow Airport, London, UK

Here we are. Our second tour of the new season, and a flight cancelled due to fog. It's not all bad news, though - we get to enjoy breakfast AND lunch in the lounge! So, chicken curry will shortly follow egg, sausage and beans. Yummy.Julian has settled into the group excellently, and is proving himself a good fit within the group - always encouraging after only a week in the group! We have our first two Great American Songbook concerts this weekend, which will certainly be a test, but once Jules has learned this repertoire it'll stand him in great stead for the rest of the season, until we start to introduce new Close Harmony repertoire.Talking of new repertoire, we have some great projects to look forward to this season. We're teaming up with Dr David Skinner once again, to record an album of Palestrina taken from his wonderful Song of Songs works. By contrast, we're putting together a new Christmas album, which will be a semi-studio recording so that listeners will get the experience of the group "as live" but with extra tracking where required. This will include both traditional and modern Christmas tracks, all in new arrangements ready for our Christmas 2016 tour, and beyond. In other news, we're developing and refining our Summer School plans for next year. The aim is to teach ensembles only, as that is of course our real focus, so we're encouraging singers to form their own groups and start to sing together regularly, in order to apply for the school. Keep checkin the website for more news!
