I'm writing this at Heathrow about to board a flight to Mexico City. We have a couple of days to acclimatise to the jetlag and the altitude before our performance on Thursday. Then it's off to the U.S. for just over two weeks, starting in Irvine, California, and ending in the beautiful acoustics of Spivey Hall.Over the last week we've had a bit of time to relax after our first few weeks of this season. I had a long list of things to do, many of which are still to be achieved - oh well, that's life. One thing I have been doing is raking leaves in my garden - the seemingly never-ending autumn chore. When I get back home in three weeks, I think all the trees will be bare, so I'll probably have one more session then.I've also been learning some of the Postcard repertoire from memory for this upcoming trip - the notes are not a problem, but the foreign texts are a bit more tricky - Welsh and Korean particularly. The flight will give me 11 hours to continue this, but it's easier said than done!
