It's been a busy day!! First, I had to get to Bond Street at 7.45am this morning to meet Esther (from our management team) to pick up some documents, before popping down North Audley Street to the U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square to apply for my American visa for the upcoming tour in December. I did feel a bit sorry for Bruiser, who'd had to get up at 5am for the occasion, since he was coming in from his home in Oxford...Then I had a number of hours free in the area, so caught up with some friends over morning coffee and lunch, interspersed with coffee-shop-based music learning with my laptop. A particular highlight of the day was attending a lunchtime recital nearby in Grosvenor Chapel, given by two friends of mine: Tom Primrose, on piano, and Adam Temple-Smith, tenor - both of whom are incredibly talented and I'm sure will have very successful careers in music! A true joy to hear some songs by Gurney, Quilter and Schubert sung so beautifully.Afterwards, I headed to Heathrow for our 19:40 flight to Düsseldorf, and now here we are on the foggy German Autobahn, heading to Siegen, an hour and a half away.I'll sleep well tonight!
