Dresden, Germany

The eagle-eyed amongst you may notice that I don't ALWAYS do my blog on Fridays, but this is for a couple of fine reasons: first, if I'm home with the family there's really nothing KS-related to report, and secondly I like to keep you all on your toes! So, after a welcome patch at home we're off on tour again and visiting five countries in just over two weeks. Thankfully, winter still feels like a long way off, so there's no need to put on the thick coat and trudge, freezing cold, through wind, snow and rain in order to satisfy our wonderful fans around Europe. Indeed, today is a rather warm day here in Dresden, and I've been out taking photos of the beautiful architecture before our concert this evening in the Frauenkirche.I'm missing one of the many hilarious school assemblies at home, today. My middle daughter, Lyra, was part of a "celebration" of dinosaurs, and I've just been sent some very sweet photos and videos of her singing, dancing and speaking at school. It's tough to miss things like this, but next year I should be at most (if not all) the school events, so I hope that'll make up for the years of missing out! Stephanie's very good at keeping me up to speed with what's going on, and we regularly watch videos of all the events when I come home.Tim and I performed our last KS concert in France a few days ago, and we're starting to tick off more and more countries as we travel around. It's wonderful to see so many familiar faces, many of whom I've seen on and off for well over a decade now, and the well-wishes are deeply appreciated. I'm still not 100% sure what I'll be doing next year, but these are exciting times and I'm looking forward to giving the old vocal chords a rest for a while. As for the present, I have 40 more concerts with some wonderful repertoire, gorgeous venues and friendly faces to enjoy along the way.
