Dallas Fort Worth Airport, TX

Today is a good day. We're about to fly (on time!) to Salt Lake City, where we will be residing for the rest of our tour, i.e. the next four nights until returning home Sunday. We will be checking in later to the Grand America which is, according to my colleagues, an amazing hotel. I can't wait to finally unpack my suitcase and find the rest of my clean clothes hidden no doubt underneath all the general debris which has, over the last week or so, found its way to the pile on top of everything else! Then this evening, we have our ACDA shows (x2) at the Salt Lake Tabernacle which is incredibly exciting. That 7,000-seater building of mystery and wonder should be pretty much full; and not just full with a standard audience, but that of thousands of choral buffs who have travelled all over the US (and further afield) to meet for the ACDA National Conference.Furthermore, I've just found out that a friend of mine, Nico Muhly, happens to be in Salt Lake giving a composition masterclass later this week, so we'll be able to hook up then which is fantastic!Today marks the start of the finishing streak of the tour - some thrilling days ahead!
