Oh dear - it's the case of the missing blog! I posted this on Tuesday but for some reason it got lost in the ether. Anyway, here it is.......So here we are on the road driving from Hesston, Kansas to Edmond, Oklahoma. It's another chilly day but I think I'm actually getting used to the cold now. It's going to seem like a heat wave back in London! Chris B is kindly doing the driving today and I'm busy discussing some programme ideas that have come in from concert promoters around the world.Tonight's programme is a brief departure from our Great American Songbook repertoire. We revert to a typical KS mixed bag - starting with Renaissance music, popping over to the Romantic era and ending the half with the contemporary work Nonsense by Goffredo Petrassi. In the second half, however, the Great American Songbook repertoire does make an appearance and these tunes have been met with lots of applause and smiles which is always nice!Really looking forward to our appearances at ACDA in Salt Lake City this week - only David from this present line-up has performed as part of this incredible event and I'm sure it will live up to the hype. Watch this space!
