Starting as I mean to go on so fingers crossed...It's lovely to be back on the road again, seeing new places and meeting new people. I love Italy. Spent five days in Rome during the holidays with my best mate, Stephen, a chef who lives in Sydney. He wanted to eat his way around Rome so I took one for the team and joined him. I don't remember beginning dinner any night before 9:30-10:00pm! The weather was hot and we saw the Colosseum so that makes us proper Roman tourists, right? Tonight's rather special as it's Pat's first overseas gig as a King's Singer. Nice for him to have friends in the audience, too, supporting him. I imagine the crowd'll be, as usual, typically Italian – friendly, enthusiastic, partisan – and it'll be a super show!On the domestic front, you'll be pleased to know that Liz and I are in the process of finding a kitchen. I don't think I've ever seen so many bench tops in my life before. The choice is ridiculous! Don't get me started on knobs...Hope to see you at a show, soon.Bye for now!
