Here we are in Poland - actually, pretty much on the border of Poland and Bielorussia, in the easternmost part of the country. Poland is a country that has been hugely changed by the EU over the years and, given Britain's interesting position within that organisation at present, it's fascinating to have visited this country so many times over the past 12 years and seen the changes in infrastructure. There's no doubt that a huge amount has happened. One thing that hasn't changed a bit is the enthusiasm for choral music that so many people in Poland share and love. We are singing a new arrangement of a Polish folksong today, by our very own Chris B, and we're excited in our anticipation of a warm reaction tonight. Over the past few years the group has been fortunate to work with several youth choirs here including Puellae Orantes, from Tarnow, and it's always a delight to see former and current members of the choir whenever we visit Poland. After this short trip, we return home to rest and prepare for our next recording sessions, in London next week. The sessions are going very well so far and it's fantastic to have Nigel Short producing this triple-disc recording, which celebrates 50 years of the KS. We're not trying simply to replicate the sound of the groups of the past, but using our combined experience to produce a recording that feels current, as well as staying true to the KS principles handed down through the years. It's an exciting project, and we're sure all our friends around the world will love the results - certainly judging by the first few edits!
