We're now back home after our first tour of 2016. Following Salzburg, always a favourite stop for me, we headed to Hannover for two concerts with the Hannover Girls' Choir; Saturday night in their home venue, the Christuskirche, and a matinee performance on Sunday morning as part of the Girls' Choir's annual New Year's concert at the Staatsoper. It was lovely to sing with them once more, and we would like to thank them, their director Gudrun Schröfel, and the rest of the team, for their warm welcome. Another lovely aspect of the trip was the arrival of a bit of snow - enough to make everything look lovely, but not enough to cause disruption to our plans (including our flight home last night - another bonus of an early concert!).We now return to Christmas for a couple of days. Later this week we have the first two recording days for our new Christmas album. Normally we seem to record Christmas CDs in sweltering summer weather, so I will be novel to have cold weather outside as we record.
