Athens, Georgia

We're now in our fourth stop on this trip, having travelled a fair few miles since leaving London a week ago. After sunshine along the road we've hit heavy rain here in Georgia. It's been a great week. Mexico was fantastic, and having a bit of time to see some sights was great, especially the Museum of Anthropology, which I heartily recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City. After an all-too-brief stop in sunny California. We headed to New Jersey for our concert in the lovely chamber music hall of Kean University. It was an afternoon show, and we headed to the airport for an evening flight to Atlanta. We're about to venture out into the rain to go to give a workshop with on of the UGA ensembles, followed by lunch, rehearsal and concert. Then tomorrow it's off to Storrs, Connecticut, where we stay put for three whole days - a bit of a luxury in our lives.I'm enjoying performing a couple of programmes inspired by the Postcards CD, which includes many songs from the the album alongside other pieces, such as Peter Louis van Dijk's Horizons and Elena Kats-Chernin's River's Lament.
