What a great trip we've just had. Three of us flew back from Los Angeles, arriving in London on Friday afternoon. Tim and Chris B arrived back the day before, and Johnny is enjoying an extra weekend of South California sun. Four of us made a short stop at the Western Division conference of ACDA in Pasadena, where we heard one of the choirs from the University of Redlands (Bel Canto directed by Joe Modica), amongst other excellent groups. We worked with Bel Canto, and with the Chapel Singers, at Redlands last weekend. We've had the fortune to hear many great groups on this trip, and have also performed with some marvellous choirs, most notably in Provo, and at our last stop, with the excellent Choral Project in San Jose.Over the last three and a half weeks we've covered quite a lot of Canada and the US, and, with apologies for my obsession with the weather, we experienced quite a range of temperatures, from -38F in Yellowknife to 80F in Pasadena. After the warmth of LA it seems very chilly at home, but there are signs of spring in the garden, with snowdrops and daffodils beginning to bloom.
