It's been a week since we arrived back from Japan, and I'm now back into UK time after a week of waking up rather early. Later in the week we're off to Switzerland for a few days. For now, I'm busy scanning music onto my iPad for the next few concerts. We are having the entire library scanned, but this won't be ready for a couple of months. In the meantime we've decided to keep using the iPads in concert, so it requires us to transfer all the scores onto them. As a result my kitchen table is covered in music scores, with a small pile of completed music, and a much larger one of pending scores. I'm also in the process of learning a couple of pieces from memory for the upcoming concerts. It's good to be keeping the brain working so near to my retirement from the KS! Talking of that, whilst in Japan a couple of people at different venues described my departure as my 'graduation'. I rather like this idea, because it's certainly been a good education for me.
