This morning we (all except for Bruiser who stayed in France), flew out to Nantes from London. Today we have the first of our final 3 concerts of term. Tonight’s and tomorrow’s are in France, then the final one on Wednesday is in Petworth, UK. This means that we’ll be able to get home and spend the first night of holiday in our own beds - which is truly exciting!
As this is my last blog before holidays, I’ll indulge myself and outline my holiday plans. I start off with a couple of weeks at home, spending some quality time with Ellie and her family, and catching up with friends whom I rarely get chance to see. Then I’ll be heading to Verona for a few days with two close friends from University, Tim and Henry. I was very taken with Verona when we sang there recently, and have been looking for a chance to explore it more ever since. Then after another week or so at home, I’ll be heading up to Scotland with Ellie.
We’ll be putting our (relatively new) car through its paces for the first time, driving up the east of England, then driving an arc across Scotland. I particularly can’t wait to explore the Isle of Skye, which looks incredible from what I’ve seen of it so far. We’ll be doing lots of walking, swimming (depending on temperature...), eating, and drinking, and I’m so excited for it.
Then it’ll be just a week left to get back into gear for the third and final term of this year. It’s going to be another action-packed one, so a refreshing few weeks’ break is going to get us reset for our next adventures.
