The King's Singers

As we hit 2010 I'm looking back on the past few years with amazement at the experiences I've had, both onstage and off. The concerts, flights and hotel rooms have really stacked up, but more importantly I've made some wonderful friends all over the globe, many of whom I'm sure I'll keep for life. Before joining The King's Singers I had combined a career as a lawyer with freelance professional singing engagments, having sung since the age of 8 in various choirs and colleges including the choirs of St. John's College, Cambridge and Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford. My ideal career, however, was always to be at the highest level of ensemble singing and when I successfully auditioned for the group in 2003 I knew this was my chance. Since then I've sung at many dream venues, including Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, New York's Carnegie Hall and London's Royal Albert Hall, to name but a few. In 2004 I met my wife, Stephanie, whilst touring in the US and we now live in London with our daughter Isabella, born in July 2009, who is providing us with the steep learning curve of new parenthood. When we're not doing midnight feeds, changing her clothes or entertaining her we all enjoy a good walk in our local park and eating out with friends over a good bottle of wine - but our real love is travel and we're always looking forward to the next holiday!
